Standing Committee Meeting Italy April 2013

The meeting took place in San Benedetto del Tronto, hosted by EFSA Italy.
Ten member sections were represented, and the following items of note were covered:

Following the death of our former General Secretary, Hamish Holmes, a memorial fund has been established with a view to providing an award at future Championships. All member sections and members may make contributions.

The re-formation of EFSA Malta was approved.

A presentation was made by Rob Kramer of the activities and operation of IGFA with a view to closer co-operation between our two organisations.

New Championship levies have been introduced which include a proportion refundable to the organising section upon compliance with all HQ Championship requirements.

The Treasurer and Fish Recorder confirmed their availability for re-election.

A report was given on the successful Boat Championships in Norway in 2012.

Updates were given on the forthcoming Boat Championships in Denmark, plus information on the events in Weymouth 2014 and Orkney 2015. In addition progress on the 2013 Game event and Shore event was given, and the 2014 Species Championship.

The next meeting will take place in Denmark in August.
