Pwllheli, Wales 2014

This time, unlike 2010, it was the Dutch and not the Welsh anglers that swept virtually everything before them in European Federation of Sea Anglers 2014 European Shore Championships, organised by the Welsh Section, winning Individual Gold and Bronze as well as Team Silver and Bronze.

We have promised the Championship with the most marlins ever, and we’ve got it.
To reach this great result we need the right fishing spot, and we’ve got it.
We  need the perfect week, and we’ve got it.
We also need the best local people to support us, and we’ve got it.

The 2011 EFSA European Shore Angling Championships were fished on the beaches of east Wexford in Ireland’s South East. The chosen venues are renowned for their suitability for match angling. In the weeks leading up to the event however the wind stubbornly came from the east and north without let up

Caernarfon/Wales November 2010

The event was a repeat of the very successful 2007 championships, fished on the same beaches around Pwllheli over 3 days. It all started on the evening of Wednesday 3rd November when 50 competitors from 7 countries across Europe returned to Caernarfon to the Celtic Royal Hotel to attend registration for the event.

Langeland/Denmark November 2009

On Sunday, November 8th, 31 competitors met in the hotel Skudehavn, Rudkobing in Langeland for the opening ceremony of the 2009 European shore championships.
