EFSA Shore Championships 2025 Langeland, Denmark, 29th Sept to 3rd Oct

The EFSA European Shore Championships 2025 were held from Langeland, Denmark from 29 th
September to 3rd October with 42 competitors from 5 Sections. The venue was hosted by EFSA
Germany.


On 29 th Sept the event was opened in Skudehavn Hotel in Rudkøping. The registration, opening
ceremony and presentation of flags and drawing of pegs were done there.


On the first fishing day (30 th Sept) the competition started at the beach of Lokkeby and on 1st
October the second day of the competition was fished on the beach of Botofte.
The 3 rd competition day was fished again at Lokkeby.


The main fish were flatfish, seatrout and garfish. Biggest flatfish was 38 cm, caught by Alexander
Dorow Netherlands, biggest round fish was a garfish at 45 cm, caught by Pim Troost Netherlands.
On Friday 3 rd Oct the event was closed with a Gala dinner at Skudehavn Hotel in Rudkøping.


The European Shore Champion 2025 was Stuart Jones England with 24 points, 17 fish and 517
fishpoints. The European Shore Lady Champion was Miranda Koop, Netherlands with 22 points,
11 fish and 344 fishpoints. The European Shore Junior Champion was Ove Hansen, Germany with
21 points, 7 fish and 221 fishpoints. The European Shore Senior Champion was Manfred Sauter,
Germany with 23 points, 10 fish and 308 fishpoints.
