The European Species Championships 2026.
EFSA Iceland was last December 2025 asked to step in and hold the European Species
Championships 2026 as EFSA Sweden had to withdraw their nomination for the Championships.
The Championships will be held from Dalvik, North-Iceland on 27 th to 30 th August targeting big
Cod and the minimum size is 50 cm. The fishing days will be Friday 28 th and Saturday 29 th .
Registration will be on Thursday 27 th and Prize giving and Dala Dinner on Sunday 30 th . Sunday
30 th will also be for spare if weather does not allow us to go out to fish on one of the regular
fishing days. Newsletters will be issued with all the information needed and the first one is
scheduled to be published on EFSA HQ website next February and sent out to all of EFSA
Secretaries by e-mail. See the enclosed program.
