EFSA In memorium Peter Lobs

Peter Lobs January 15, 1943 – June 28, 2026

Peter joined EFSA Netherlands in June 1969 and grew into one of the most valued
and committed members of our association. For more than forty years, he dedicated
himself to EFSA with great devotion and contributed in many ways to its development
and sense of community.

From 1975 to 1980, Peter served as Secretary of EFSA Netherlands. His qualities
and commitment did not go unnoticed, which ultimately led to his appointment as
Chairman of EFSA Headquarters, a position he held with great dedication from 1994
to 1997. He remained active for EFSA HQ even after that. As Festival Game Officer,
from 2009 to 2011, he once again enthusiastically dedicated himself to the success of
the international Big Game festivals.
Peter will be remembered by many as a committed, helpful, and warm-hearted
member of the association. He was always ready to roll up his sleeves and made an
indispensable contribution to the organization of the Scheveningen Festivals, Big
Game competitions, and boat races. His dedication, enthusiasm, and personality
have left a lasting impression within EFSA.

With the passing of Peter, EFSA loses a dedicated member and a dear friend. His
years of commitment and the many beautiful memories he has left behind will live on
permanently within our association.
